Haematoxylum brasiletto (Brazilwood) can be grown as a beautiful shrub to tree form in warm areas. Will burn from cold at temperatures below 26 degrees F. The trunk is fluted, blooms a beautiful bouquet of yellow flowers in the spring. The seed pod as it matures turns to radiant copper color. In the summer the foliage is a green. Brazilwood is a great accent plant in frost free or well protected areas.
